Saw a Nissan GTR

Last night, coming home from my GF's house. First time I've seen one in person, thing looks sweet. Japanese/Asian guy driving it, he wouldn't even look at me while sitting at the light. I didn't want to race him or anything, we were on the main crowded road in town, and it's heavily patrolled as well. But he missed his chance to get a 'wow nice car' from a lowly f-body owner. Oh well, snooty bastard...

But still, sweet car!

He probably thought you were a undercover following him so you could take his car and send it back to Japan.

I've seen a GT-R here in town too and they're very nice cars. Yesterday, I saw my first R8 and it was nice looking as well.

I've seen a few around here. There are two that have been sitting at the Nissan dealership for about a year now that nobody's bought. Well, technically the owner of the dealership owns one and the other one is red, which doesnt really look that good on the GTR, so nobody wants that one. They just custom order them instead. I actually saw one in the parking garage a few days back.

Yeah there's 2 or 3 R8s around here as well, they're definitely nice, too!

I've only ever seen 1 drivng around, leaving the Audi dealership. Other than that, they're pretty rare here. Believe it or not, Ferrari 360's and F430's are more common around here than GTR's or R8's or Lambo's lol.

I live in a pretty snooty part of Atlanta, near the Ferrari, Jaguar, Masserati, Porsche, and other high end dealerships. I see lots of everything on the roads around here...

Well we dont have any Ferrari dealserships around but we do have Jaguar, Maserati, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, etc. But no Lambo or Ferrari just yet.

I've had a friend of a friend let me get in one once and rev it

But if it's any consolation I def. like the way my car sounds better

also I've always wondered, is there a certain criteria you have to meet in order for a dealership to let you test drive cars like these?

I dont think you can test drive the car at all. Or you might have to give them like a 5k deposit just to show that you can afford it if something happens to the car. That's my guess.

Went with my friends dad and my friend to test drive cars one day. Guy has his own buisness and makesover a mil a year. He showed him his bank account and they let us take out a srt-10, 911 turbo and a m5. This was back in 05 when the srt10 was brand new.

I work at a Nissan dealership and we just got our first 2012 GTR in. 45 horsepower jump and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Ours is in Gun Metallic and stickers for 91,000!

Sub 3 seconds for 90k?? That doesn't suck at all...

What's the current Corvette at? ZR1 runs 0-60 in mid 3s I think? And the other cars that come in under 3 seconds are much more than 90k, right? That's impressive...

I don't think that's a bad price for that car to be honest.

I own a GT-R, R8 and ZR1 on Gran Turismo 5 and I'm sure that's the closest I'll ever get to having either of them.

They are nice machines fo sho! I run around with a few of them here and they are fast as fuck from a deadstop on street tires.

The only other car that is close for the price is a 2011 911 turbo. 0-60 time at 2.7 seconds, i also found a post that said someone got 2.6 with the 7 speed dual clutch and 2.9 with the manual. Its msrp is 106,000.
