Sat in a 2010 Camaro SS

Well we have a 2010 Camaro SS fully loaded except for sunroof. This lawyer comes in asking to test drive one and my manager is very resistant since everyone and there mothers want to test drive it. So long story short he finally said fine go ahead and i sat in the passenger seat, i have to admitt i was very suprised on how well the traction is in the car. He was flooring it in 1st gear from a roll speed ofcourse and zero traction issues, he took several corner fast and it handled really really well to my suprise it was fairly flat and good amount of grip. My 01Z FEELS faster but seriously doubt that it is.

Anyways, i drive it back to the dealer and couldnt help but notice how sensitive the clutch pedal is and hardly any warning of engagment it just grabs and you either stall or rev it too high. Well i didnt stall but i was almost there but the guy who test drove it stalled 5 times, lol. Either way its a cool car it didnt feel very fast but then again that could be because it has a good suspension set up. Well thats pretty much how it felt from the drivers just casually driving it and in the passenger seat with a maniac driving it, i had to tell him to slow it down 4 times, lol.

I've never been in one. As a matter of fact, I've only seen two of them. One at LA Invasion and one at the store yesterday.

I got to drive one, I could for see driving it on a dailly bases... I love that car, but dont want payments.

he test drove the yellow one with the dealer installed black stripes. He didnt buy it and his excuse was it was way too fast and he would get into a ton of trouble. We ordered 2 special edition transformer version camaro's that have unique badging and stripes that we should get soon, so i cant wait for those. I love it when people come in the dealer and compare this car to a challenger and how they think its such a close match. Almost everytime a person comes in they compare the camaro to the srt Challenger. They have no idea what they are talking about at all, the challenger is heavier, slower, doesnt brake as well and to me the camaro looks better inside and out.

I hate to say it, as far as looks... I get sexualy turned on by the Challenger. The Camaroe is nice, but can't compare to the Challenger in looks, but thats just me...

me too, saw them both almost next to eachother a few days ago. the challenger looks and sounds sexy...

Remember, these are G8 frames & suspension (zeta platform) with new bodys on them, yeah their gonna handle like a go kart...I like the challengers too FWIW.

I drove a V6 with a 6 Speed and thought the clutch grabbed weird to. Didn't stall it but came close. After weighing out my options I picked up a 01 Vette M6 Loaded for about $10,000 cheaper than the V6 Model, and about $20,000 less than the 2SS. I like the Looks of the Challenger as well, I think Dodge Nailed it on the Retro look.

man so yesterday i pull u p to a light and there is this didtsy blonde girl in the new ss and shes got her windows down and shes doing her make up. i commenton how nice the car is and she says "thanks! i like your mustang" - i always get that shit from stupid people

It's hard for me to justify the new Camaroe, nice and all. But if I am going to buy something. Cash or make payments, the C5 Zo6 is a better buy (low milage). Cheaper to buy, cheaper on insuarce, faster, respect, been around for a while longer, its a Corvette. Dont say the back seat, because ummm, yea.
