Cast is on for a total of 12 weeks. New cast in the middle though.

Her left hip ligaments aren't tight enough to hold the ball in the socket, so they are making sure it won't be able to pop out like it was.

Doctor is pretty sure it will take care of the hip popping out of socket issue.

Her other issues with the tumors are permanent.

The only time she had any pain was when the hip would pop out, so this should solve that.

12 weeks - long time for such a little girl. but hopefully when it is all done and over she will not have that problem. i wish you and sara luck.

Hope things keep getting better for her. I spent about 6 weeks in a body cast up to my armpits when I was 7 for a bad leg fracture. There were lots of boring times with that, but I think you should be able to keep her happy at that age.
