So I got bored and thought "Geez, I wonder if I shot a baseball at a samurai would he be able to cut it middle flight?" Well the interweb provides the answer.

That was great !
Imagine what that sword could do to your head.. Someone once told me a green (unripened) pumpkin has a similar strength/resistance to impact/damage that your skull does... I imagine that a baseball is harder to slice in half if that is true.

Hmmm..... I don't think any pumpkin would have the strength as a human skull. I know the top part of the human skull is the weakest with the rear of the skull by the optic nerve being what a doctor told me, "Hard as cinder block" I would like to research this more since I have no conclusive evidence which statement is true.... yours or mine. Someone with a little more time should look this up

Agreed. I only just remember something about the "impact resistance" and skull plates etc.. Nothin to do with the actual strength of specific spots.. I also remember my doctor telling me when I smashed my leg that the human bone can be up to ten times stronger than concrete... when force is applied in the "intended) fashion..My co-worker is telling me that the resistance to impact is "freaking useless you blathering idiot" as it's *ahem* slicing weapon not a "damn viking hammer* Gotta love my buddy. Sooo I retract my earlier post... carry on all.

Only one way to answer that. We need to remove your head, load into cannon then fire it at the samurai guy.

I watched the vid at work this morning. My boss looked over my shoulder and was like "WTF, that guy slicing a baseball?" I looked over and politely said, "DUH!!"
