Saleen XP8??? Really???

So, I saw this car in the parking lot at the library yesterday and I thought it was just some guy who wanted to make his Explorer look cool. But then I did some research and found that Saleen actually did make Explorers for a few years in the late '90s. But looking at the pics that I could find and then looking at this one, this one looks fake. Can anyone confirm/deny? Another thing that makes me think it was fake is that from what I could find, only 34 real XP8s exist, so what's the chance that this one is legit?

This thing just seems a little ricer-ish to me from the looks of it. If this thing is for real though, I retract my previous statement, lol.

It was a total of 119 XP8’s produced from 1998 until 2001 but I think that one is a fake.

Those two above look real. I'm gonna go ahead and just say the one I saw was fake. Look at the bumpers of the two up above and compare them to the one I saw. No chrome on the bumpers, lol. So the one I saw, some guy just tried to make his regular explorer look like a Saleen one, lol. I hate it when people try to imitate a car that theirs is not..................

First one is a riced out fake. as everyone already said. I think the real one had a supercharged 302 or 351. Not sure.

I saw one when my mom was buying a 98 Explorer. I begged her to get the saleen, but she almost sh*t herself when she saw the price. The one I saw was white.

I used to see one a few towns over from where I live. Black with gold SALEEN graphics and chrome wheels. The 1st pic is fake. If I remember correctly, the XP-8 had dual/dual outlet exhaust tips set close together like CME.
