Rodents in an inaccessible attic..
sitting here in the quiet of the night browsing the internet..I hear the little fucker(s) again. Last night I heard the damn thing chewing or scratching in a different spot, now it's moved along about 6' away. How the hell do I get to it to trap it out? Like I said, there is no attic access (vaulted ceiling) and there's not attic space anywhere else in the house, therefore no attic access at all. Only option I can come up with right now is either shotgun, or pull some fascia and soffit and try to get some poison up there somehow.

not attic space at all?... i.e. no access hatch?
...for a trap - and i speak from experience here - the best solution out there is the rat zapper... it's a little box-style trap that electrocutes the little f-ers... just follow the directions on how to bait it... i've caught two w/ mine, ..i love it!!!!! you can even place it outside i think, if you cover it from the rain properly...
other than that put bait stations near places you think it may be getting in at... trouble is that they can get through the tiniest of places, so it may not be possible to figure it out, ...then maybe just take a guess,, or put bait stations at various corner points (probably inside corners are better) around the foundation...

There's a product called Enforcer sold in places like Chinamart that will kill them dead quick.
But be aware, this product will also kill anything that walks, crawls, or flies as well.
Very indiscriminate killer, but it works for sure, I use it around the farm house and shop..
If the rodent crawls out side and gets eaten by another animal it will be dead shortly too,
so if you do use it, use caution and sparingly..Last edited by Smittro; 06-19-2012 at 06:16 AM.

I've actually used one of those electronic pest repellants. Believe it or not, it actually works. I've used it more than once, and it's worked every time. Just plugs in the wall. Might be worth a try.

No pets here, just random wild animals and some neighbors. Enforcer might do the trick. I'll have to see if I can pull some soffit off and poision the fucks.
No, no attic access or hatches anywhere.

Don't bother with D-con..
I tried that stuff around the shop, they ate it, the box, and all, laughed, then got into the container ate all of that..lol
Did'nt even slow them down, over time D-con becomes inert and useless.
The Enforcer I picked up in bulk about 5 years ago and it's still deadly,, even if it gets rained on.. Nasty shit..

I know I've seen the pack you said you use, Smittro. I'll pick some up when I get back to the store.

Eat massive quantities of Taco Bell. The fumes will eventually asphyxiate the furry little f'er.
