Riddle me This?

This will be a whole lot more fun if you don't google it for the answer and actually try and figure it out.

In your cellar there are three light switches in the OFF position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on floor above.

You may move any of the switches but you may only go upstairs to inspect the bulbs one time. How can you determine the switch for each bulb with one inspection?? No one else is there to help you either. The bulbs are also regular bulbs(not led etc.)

turn on one switch and wait about 5 minutes. then turn on a second for about 30 seconds and then turn them both off. go upstairs and check the temperature of the bulbs. the one that is the hottest belongs to the first switch you turned on, the slightly warm one goes to the second, and the cold one belongs to the third one you never switched on.

OR...

Turn one on and leave it on for some time, then turn it off. Then turn one on and go upstairs...the hot one is the first switch the one that is still on is the second and cold/off one is the third.

Ok how about this one ONCE AGAIN IT IS REALLY NO FUN TO JUST GOOGLE THE ANSWER.

A man lives on the tenth floor of a building. Every morning he wakes up gets on an elevator rides it to the groung floor and exits the building for work. At the end of the day he returns to his building. Goes to the elevator "IF" there is someone on the elevator or it is raining he goes directly to the tenth floor if there is no one in the elevator or it is not raining he rides the elevator to the seventh floor and walks the rest of the way. WHY?
