Tell the authorities his license & description and have him charged for reckless driving, causing an accident and fleeing the scene.

That sucks.
I don't understand how he cut you off yet almost hit you from behind though.
You should have let him hit you, if he hit you from the rear, it's definitely HIS fault. Now that you hit another car that's probably going to be considered YOUR fault, and now your insurance will go up.
It's too bad...people ar such shitty drivers these days...I've almost been hit many times myself, either by people not paying attention, or just too damn thoughtless to care about other drivers.

Sounds like he was trying to change lanes and so was said ricer. Tried getting over and option was either rice hits his bumper and off under a semi he goes or bump doors with another car.

You do realize it is YOUR fault you hit the other car, right?

Wrong, law enforcement is now able to make judgment calls based on the circumstances of an accident. If you are cut off and your options are to hit the offender (the one who cut you off) or an un-involved parked car, moving car or pedestrian your best move would be to hit the car that cut you off (as long as it would not place your life in danger such as a head on collision. Many times the offending person will cause an accident and drive away, if there are no witnesses you’re left holding the bag (paying for all damages). That’s not to say that you can ram into someone for cutting you off, you are obligated to do every thing possible to avoid an accident. Remember the old days when if you rear ended someone you were automatically at fault? Well, that’s not the case any longer, if someone pulls out in front of you and you can not avoid hitting them they are now charged with failure to yield right of way.

That ricer would be considered a phantom vehicle, and it's true the driver could be held responsible for the accident and also face criminal charges. I hit a reckless driver once. Swerving wasn't an option. His insurance paid up, and I replaced a car. I don't know if he was charged; his car wrecked and a higher premium were enough punishment to me.
