I love the Yankees, but nobody should lose their lives over a baseball rivalry. Hell for it to even result in a fist fight is excessive to me. These players/teams do NOT pay our bills people. Enjoy the games, pick favorite teams/players but to actually hurt someone because they like a different team I think is really sad.

A lot of people are brain washed by sports and it pisses me off. Even more so around Superbowl time, world series time, etc. That is all they can think about and talk about. Even some work places do stuff for the superbowl and work ceases. If you don't like football or care who wins the superbowl then by god your not American!

on getting over themselves, baseball is the most non athletic "sport" there is! and I do not like football, or basketball either.

All crazed sports fans are ridiculous. Seeing someone make a crap ton of money for playing a freakin' game and exercising is just stupid. Take away the high salaries and see how many of the PLAYERS like playing them. My guess is if they all made the same as most people make (somewhere along the lines of 50-60k a year - which would still be too high for playing games) then they'd stop playing and don't really love the sport as much as they all say they do. They are in it for the money.

I LOVE sports... but I like PLAYING sports, not watching someone else play it from the bleachers or my couch (with the exception of watching my little brothers soccer games - I like to see him play soccer and having fun because well.. it's my brother - not some stranger I'll never meet). I cringe when I hear the common phrase from sports fans the day after a big game on television: "We won! We beat _____!" .. YOU didn't do anything jackass, you sat on your ass and watched television and ate snacks. Way to go - you really helped there, buddy. Even dumber when everyone starts arguing who the best player on a certain team is.. WHO CARES? It wont affect you in any way at all unless you own part of the team or something so get over it. You aren't their coach either so stop yelling the TV, moron.

Ugh.. sports FANS ruin the sports, but they put money in some overpaid players pockets, so to most of that industry that's all that matters. So keeping spending that money and yelling at the tv and arguing with people and idolizing over men in tight pants. I'll go kick around a soccer ball for a while and have fun while you are on the couch eatting potato chips.

(this isn't directed at anyone personally on the forums, but a generic message to all crazy fans who obsess over other people playing a game)

i love the game anddo get a little crazy. i do yell at the tv or radio. i play softbal, golf, basketball. and other sports.
i love baseball, i can watch any team play any other team. i just love the game. and i'm a cleveland fan. so i live pain yearly.

i love to see a good game.
bowling my be the least athletic.

do like people cheering for the other team when i go to the game? no but i treat then like i would want to be treated.

Actually no. I have ridden motocross my whole life. I never said it wasn't athletic, I just said its not as athletic as other sports. As for golf never really cared for the game much but I do think it is a lot harder to be a professional golf player than play in the major league's. Simply for the fact that golf (imo) takes a great deal of skill to play, more so than Baseball.

Ps. Hitting a MLB caliber pitchers is probably the hardest thing to do in all of sports. Hence why having a .300 average puts you in the top tier of players. thats 3 out of 10 times that you are getting a hit!

yea I played baseball for 9 years, you may be able to sit and watch it and say its easy.. try hitting a 90-98 mph ball
I also play golf, and it is quite a bit easier than baseball

Soccer requires the most stamina of all sports from what I hear. I play basketball mostly, but do a little bit of baseball, football, and tennis (backyard, not on a real team)
