    Resumes...

Anyone got a good modern type Word templates for resumes?
Basic entry level type stuff, as I don't really have professional experience.
I have obviously already google'd some, looking for something other than the first link google gives...

Or, anyone willing to share theirs with me so I can use it as a starting point?

I used to be a recruiter... I will send you mine... but being creative and original is best... I would not go with a template... what kind of job are you looking for?

    Right now...anything that pays.
Currently going to school for my degree in network communication and management, but still 3 years away from that. Just looking for something a little more stable than what I am doing now.
    Helpdesk, warehouse, driver, etc...

I have heard that a basic resume is the best way to go for what I am currently looking for. Does that sound right to you?

Yea, I would like one also. It would be very helpful, on how I should lay it out. As I intend to possibly look away from my small computer business.

    Thank you mrwdjv!

Also, what kind of stuff in the objective line works well?
It has been so long since I have updated my resume...it is pretty bad.

From what I remember, the best objective line uses no personal pronouns, and describes your intent to fill whatever career/duties/etc in either the specific industry as a whole or to the company you're applying to.

    I got it done.

Thanks for the help. Just needed something more up-to-date.
My old one was kind of all over the place. This looks much better.

I typically give special interest to the applicants that have a $20 included with their resume. Doing that tends to make one not concentrate so much on the objective line. Bigger denominations are acceptable as well, but you need to make it at least a $20.

It might not help much but I seen something on tv about using the power words in your resume. Basically their was terms like results driven etc etc.

Basically they said don't use these outdated power words on your resume. They had a new list of power words, but I switched channels before It got to that part.

I would google it... Maybe you can find something.

$20? You're a cheap date buddy. Takes me at least a C note. Otherwise their paperwork goes in to the circular file.

And in these economic times I've been considering upping the ante.

I spray my resume with perfume so they think it is some slutty girls and they go right for it first every time.

You know the answer. I am 30.
Go ahead and tear into me. Get it all out.

If I cared what people thought...or if I was ashamed by it, do you think I would let anyone know my situation?

Yes, I am currently staying in my parents basement.
Yes, I am delivering pizzas 30-32 hours a week.
There you go. Take your shots, get it out, and let us move on.

I was runnin around like a lunatic. First thing the owner said when he came in mon was like what the hell happened last night?

I said you made a shitload of money... I don't wanna hear shit!!!

    It is what it is.
