I LOVE this car. I remember when SPIKE was TNN or The Nashville Network. There was a show called 'Road Test Magazine' before it changed to 'Car and Driver Television'. This car COULD NOT HOOK WORTH A DAMN...but it was fkkin-A awesome.

That thing is tuff. I've never seen that before, it looks freakin awesome, I always thought about how sweet that generation monte carlo would be with a V8 and a RWD swap.

John Moss also did a really badass 4th gen camaro that he would battle john colletti with. Two awesome cars. Collettis mustang was a 95 boss 429 that did like 2.9 0 to 60s

I remember that maro. Black ZL-1. When Moss ran that maro against Colletti's BOSS, the maro broke the rear. THAT IS POWER!!!

John Moss was the guy who made the T56 impala ss I believe to, and he also had a 500+ horsepower impala ss that you couldn't buy.

Could be wrong though but I remember hearing about him doing some badass shit with the impala ss. He def. made some sick builds back in the day.

I tried looking for vids of that car running but to no avail.

When I saw it on TV, the rear tires WOULD NOT hook worth a damn. Just AWESOME!!! \m/

fuckin jackass chevy leadership. build some incredible concepts like the rwd monte and the zl1 cars...and then nothing. shit...the one that they should have built way sooner than they did was right there...the supercharged monte. why the hell did they wait until 2004 to put the same engine in the same chassis that was availbe on the top level grand prix back in 97!

oh yes johnni...gm has a long glorious history of stupid fuckin leadership making retarded mistakes in marketing and production.

I remember reading about it in super chevy back in the 90's. Always loved monte carlo's and that is one I would have bought, not the wrong wheel drive version.

IMO, GM should have promoted Jon Moss to design chief or whatever to replace Lutz.
