    recommendation on a "fun" car for the mountains

    "fun" can be for me a convertible or fast car I guess
    HAS to be awd or 4x4

    only AWD cars I know are the ones I hate the most..... STi, EVO etc....

    Isnt there an Audi thats AWD? Maybe that will work for ya if its in your budget.

    and what is the "fun" factor with these? cause I don't see any

    well if you don't care about looks the sti is good...but expensive......

    My cousin in Washington has a older (1999?) Suburu imprezza, it was reasonable and pretty quick, good handling......not nearly as fast or good looking as my z but it does the job as a DD w/good gas mileage, and AWD.

    I actually love the looks of these imprezas, I was watching a lot of rally championships back in the time when that imprezas were the shit, that and hours spent playing colin mcrae rally made me like the looks of it

    Is this for dirt rally or tarmac? I can't think of anything good in dirt that is AWD or 4x4 and a vert. Ditch the vert though and a WRX STi is what I'd buy (I still like them and have considered one for a daily driver for the winter one day when they are cheap).
