    Recent Gas prices

Now im aware that this may be a subject probably beaten to the floor on this forum but prices are a little higher than they were when this was last discussed.. I understand that gas prices are $4.00 in california. Here in Miami they are 3.27 (regular) and 3.55(Premium). well i heard on the radio this morning that sometime in the near future they will go up to 4.00 here. Now i am in the process of looking for an LS1 trans am and am still looking to get one. Now my question.....how are you guys dealing with the gas prices? is it that bad with a T/A right now?

Yea, gas is sure on the rise. But you have to appreciate you're buying a gas guzzling V8, I know many will say it's not bad, but if you lay into it, it'll go like water.

When I bought the car I bought the premium gas with it, and I'll suck it up and fill it gladly, if you can afford the car you better be able to afford the gas.

If it's going to be your D/D good luck!

I'm screwed either way when it comes to buying gasoline. 93 octane goes in my LS1, and 93 octane has to go in my turbo car. They both get around the same gas milage, but it's pretty darn good! My cars don't suck gas unless I A) on the LS1 lay into it A LOT, I frequently pass people pretty dang quick and let off and still get good mpg.. B) Lay into the turbo car and keep it spooled up a lot, if I do that it sucks it worse than the LS1.

I have a purple Geo Prism to drive around if gas gets TOO high, but I am trying to avoid that as much as possible.

To be honest I have no idea about the current gas prices... My car gets good gas mileage, I haven't filled up in about a month.

Nevermind i said that. the 99-02 model is what i want. I guess as long as i dont haul ass in it...il be ok. Does that make sense?...so far i gather that these cars wont suck up a whole lot of gas as long as you dont go around speeding?

I dont plan to race i just wanna cruise in it, take it to car shows, keep it stock and yes it will be my daily driver.

fuel prices do suck the best thing for now is only buy a vehicle you can actually afford and that doesn't mean just the payment both of my ls1's get way better mpg than the daily drivers

This one cost enough without these companies price gouging. Yes, that is what they are doing.

even if you think it doesn't affect you think again

the cost of filling our tank is just a small portion everything has gone way up cause of fuel and it does really suck and that in turn hurts our ecomonomy

if the only way you can afford the gas is by not jumping on it then you can't afford the car
