you could put it in just about anything out there.....the question is if you have the money and resources to do it. There would be a lot of fabbing required to get it to all work together.

I can't find any truck motors for cheap. But you'll have to make motor and trans mounts(plus crossmember) and a driveshaft

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
One of my friends put a 5.3/T56 in his 67 Camaro. Slapped a used LS6 bumpstick in it and topped it with off an Edlebrock carb. He'd already rebuilt the rearend with a posi and 3.73 gears. Also rebuilt the suspension and added disc brakes. Thing runs mid 12's without really trying.

As well as the AZFBA (all years of F-bodies) I'm in the AZ 1st gens (67, 68, 69 Camaros).
I bought my first 1st gen in 1974 (69 SS 396) and have owned one or another (or 3 at once - I've owned 6 67's, 2 68's and 2 69's) continuously since 1978. I've owned my current 67 (highly optioned - ever seen one with power windows? This one has that option as well as PDB, tilt, tach, gages, fold down and more) since 1986.

Check out advanceadapters.com, they may have everything you need. But why would you use a jeep trans anyway? you can get a turbo 400 or turbo 350 for pretty cheap. If you get a np208 you will be in great shape. your best bet would be to get the entire gm running gear.jeep stuff don't handle GM power well unless it has dana 44's which Most cherokees don't. Another thing to think about is the damn unibody construction the cherokee has. without heavy mods it will twist and crack.
If you want to cram a gm engine ect in a jeep it it your best bet to get a cj,yj or tj., because they have a full frame and have been stuffing gm small blocks in them for a long time.
