Real Musclecar in Alabama
So I was on vacation this past weekend. Went up to see the Alabama spring football game. My uncle is Joe Dirt, not exactly, but he does have every auto trader since 1960 something. So im in the "office" looking at a 1980 something version and spot a superbird. Told him it was my dream car. He says lets go for a ride and here is what I saw. Lemon Twist 440 6pack car with black buckets and auto center consol shift. UNRESTORED.
No offence to anyone about the real musclecar thing, and yes before anyone takes offence to it, I know alot of stuff will outrun it on this forum, thats not what Im getting at. Youve just got to respect these cars and the power they produced so long ago and in such a heavy car.
Anyhow here it is.

Well, to each his own. That hidious car brings close to 200,000 dollars every time it goes to the auction block.
And next time your out there looking at your bird or camaro, take a closer look at the nose, see any closeness there? These superbirds were the first of the pointy nose aero breed. Like I said, even if you dont like them, you gotta respect what the did for cars every since.

unrestored, and the bitch of it is, he had 4 more in the back of the shop, none as nice as this one though.
It had some paint bubbles (6 that I could find) but who gives a shit really, it is a sharp ass car and all numbers matched, down to the polyglass goodyears it was original.
4,600 dollars on the window sticker

i don't know what was better---a-day game at the capstone or riding in a classic unrestored superbird!i was at talladega back in oct 99 they were having some sort of superbird/torino talladega/cyclone spoiler reunion before the winston cup race,it was cool as hell to see all those muscle cars rumbling around the track even thought they were only going around at pace car speed.

Function not looks! If yall have never seen in the trunk of one of these it has bars from the base of the wing that connect to the frame to direct the downforce where it needs to be. The tops of the wing are also adjustable to produce more or less downforce. I hate Mopar in general but I love these cars for what they were engineered for.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
What they were smoking was the wind tunnel. Both the Superbird and the Daytona were created to run 200mph+ at the super speedways.
Factoid: While the wing and beak on both cars looks similar the are indeed the product of separate development teams and do not interchange. You need to see them side-by-side but the are different.
The one that was for sale at my local dealership back in the day sat there for 2 years unsold as they were very expensive for the time.

That car is amazing. Looks wise, ya, its not my first choice, but an unrestored Superbird!? Talk about a gold mine!
