Rc truck and town cops

well to start it off, i have a couple of nitro powere remote controlled trucks. 1 of them being a traxxas revo 3.3. I had some tinkering to do with the tune on it as i just put a brand new engine in it a few weeks ago. So i decide to get it out today to run up and down my road like normal. the town cop drives by and sits at the end of the road like he usually does when school gets out. so i got about my business bouncing the truck around and all that jazz. did a couple of high speed runs but not w.o.t yet as i was just getting it up to temp to properly tune it. well the cop decides to mesey his way on down to my house and stops me. and says i just radared you...i asked him with waht. he says on my little truck. i start laughing and said well whatd you catch me at. he says 38mph and it was just a flash of the radar as he was goofing off also just to see what my truck would do. so we both start talking rc's and stuff, then he says i can run my truck up and down the road all i want until he gets a complaint. then i will have to go 2 blocks down to the park to run it. i dont think ill be getting any complaints anyways as everytime i get these trucks out most of my neighbors come out to watch. well i thought it was funny and had to share

well at first he sounded like he was going to be a dick about it...i knew he really couldnt do anything to me except maybe tell me to take it to the park as it is a noisy lil shit. but i was just being a calm headed guy and he knew i was just goofing off with it anyway..he was actually surprised it did 38...in a 25 lol..thats when i told him it wasnt at wot yet. and said why dont you radar me at full speed. he said we can do it another day. so this might be to be continued...also the other truck in that picture makes this one look like a freaking snail...i know the revo that i got flagged with today will do right around 48 at wot due to the gearing in it....but the other one in the pic will do closer to 60 as its a racer..and like i said the other one makes my revo look like a snail. i wanna get that one going and get it radared just to see haha

Dude if your neighbors ever complained, they have some serious issues. Who da fk would take issue with R/C vehicles?

well the only thing they could really complain about would be noise which i can fight when they start their lawn mowers or weedeaters at 7am...but the cop said if the complaint came in all he could really do is give me a warning for possible defacing of public roads but he was still cool about it anyways...my neighbors all come out and watch me run the trucks anyways so im not worried

i had 2 t maxx and i luved the noise and speed my neighbors never got mad they watched like always but i traded them for a slash and a bunch of stuff. but my slash whips my old t maxx ass now thats its brushless.

these trucks are pretty big...their 1/8th scale, so their about a foot wide, by bout foot and a half long...big suckers haha...but they can get up to speed really quick...ill make a vid one of these days when i have someone else out with me to record it for me..not multitasking it and running and recording at the same time

Those things are a blast. I had an 1/8 scale awd buggy, we got videos jumping the house, shed, pool, etc... and never broke them once. I thought for sure you were getting a speeding ticket when I read that lol!
