I'd like to build a modern version of one.
My idea is to take a S10 truck, strip off the front, have an open radiator, LS motor or turbo diesel, narrow the frame after the cab for big ass tires.

Sweet. The tires certainly grab your eye on it -- not what one would expect.

I'd love to build one but with the stupid pot holes and idiotic speed bumps in PA, it wouldn't last long. I'd have to have a winch installed in the front and back.

True we have a truck here that is literally a Rat rod. He welded Rat's all through out the truck. I'll see if I can find a pic. It may be in my photobucket account so it may be lost.
