rant: myspace profiles from spammers

What the hell? Today I got 3 full pages of friend requests. How nice. Everyone that knows me - knows that I'm not a popular guy so you're all as shocked as I am that I'd have 3 pages of people wanting to be my friend. Okay okay, anyway... so I'm not exactly so naive that I thought of these "friend requests" as something personal, but as I clicked - just to make sure that I wasn't passing up an old aquaintance or someone new - I get forwarded onto another page full of porn.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm between the ages of 12 and 112 and I'm a guy, so I'd have to say that love looking at boobs as much as anyone. A nice cute tush to look at every now and again is great too. It's always better though when I'm in the mood to find it and it isn't just throw in my face. It's just not really what I want thrown at me when I'm on the myspace page doing the myspace thing. (I keep those pages in the back ground so I can check them out after I've said my "howdies" to you guys).


Holy crap! And why is it that there are so many effing stupid guys that actually leave comments. "damn girl, you sho iz lookin fan. Hitz me upz and we go get some eatz"

Do these guys have a clue? They're really not going to be hooking up with anyone. It's not like they'd want to. Those profiles are MOST LIKELY administered by guys who are just using pictures of their models to promote their porn website. Get a life and get a grip guys. It's not gonna happen.

These profiles have like 2000 or 3000 friends listed too. I was going to say that I'm surprised that there are that many stupid ass guys out there that would believe they're really being added to someone's list of friends. Then, I realized that stupid people are quite easy to come by. Then, I realized too that these ad profiles are just made by smart people taking advantage of stupid people. Possibly not a 1/2 bad idea come to think of it. Maybe I should start taking advantage of stupid people too. Might get me further in life. What do you think? naaaaahhhh... that's not me and you all know it.

Then there are those few who actually aren't spamming porn, but they're spamming their business.

You too can live the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Just join our cult today and buy your soap and tires from yourself instead of paying retail. Save hundreds, make millions. No, my friends will hear about you in due time anyway. It'll be their call if they want to be buying into your "business opportunity" cult. It certainly isn't going to be because of me.

grrr... I could think of plenty of other things to rant on right now too, but I'm gonna drop it at that.
