Question about camcast box?

I was wondering if there is still a so called black box for these still? A few ago you could get all the cable channels with a certain box I assume they call it a modded box now. Are these still around? Im older now and Im realizing the price of this cable and it is getting out of controll, not that Im going to get one if they are still around cause that would be a

Nope, you're outta luck there. The black boxes of the old days don't work any more. I've been in cable for 4 years now and we regularly buy the products that claim to get you all the channels and none of them work. The problem is that your box has a unique, factory assigned serial number that the cable company keeps on file and authorizes services based on that number and what you pay for. If we say no HBO, then there's no HBO. My suggestion is to get into some bundled packaging with the company to save some money. Comcast is offering some decent Internet, Cable and Phone packages that save you considerable cash over what you're probably paying now.
