Punk ass wrecker drivers
So my ex just called me sayin that her sis got in a wreck. Apparently rearended someone in front of a gas station. Anyway cops showed up, and the officer told the wrecker to get it out of the road. My ex asks the driver how much to tow it to her*house which is maybe 2 miles. The guy says county law won't let him take it anywhere for less than $200. WTF? Then he says "why don't I just take it to my storage lot. You got $3k in damages on a $1500 car. Why do you wanna keep it?" WTF yet again. Anyway I told her to get a reciept for towing it to her house and make sure the milage and price are on it. Well she goes in the store to get the loot from the ATM, and when she comes back out, the fucker hauls ass with the car! She called the towing company to find out WTF, and the car is being taken to their impound!!! What the fuck is this guy on? I've never seen any kind of disregard when dealing with a wrecker!! I'm so pissed because even though she is my ex, I still don't want people takin advantage of her. What would you guys do?
P.S. Fuck off if you ask for pics of the ex. I don't have any.

Yeah that's not right. In my experience, police contracted towing companies are often arrogant and borderline criminal, like this. I agree, report them to someone for taking off while her back was turned. Better Business Bureau maybe. And that bs about county law forbidding them from charging less than $200?? Really? They have a law that says they have to charge at least $200 for a tow? Yeah I'd look that up too...

So she got in touch with the dispatcher, and dispatcher told her that the driver left because she was being rude...of course she was being rude! The driver was tryin to get over on her!! Lawyer will be called tomorrow.....the "county law" will either be confirmed or found to be false. She ain't lettin this go...I know this for a fact lol...she don't let nothin go!

Agreed about AAA drivers being cool. Had my last TA towed 99 miles (had a 100 mile limit on the policy). He was happy because he got paid by the mile, I was happy because I didn't have to pay. We chatted the whole way down, nice guy... Originally Posted by 86 IROC-Z

The wrecker drivers are always some fat white trash, know it all, but dont actually know shit type guy too. They ALWAYS say something either arrogant, stupid, rude, annoying, or unecessary. Or all of the above.
