Gaming only - Xbox, largely due to the massive Xbox Live community
All around system - PS3 owns
I have owned both and I LOVE my PS3.

while i do agree with the previous comments, i agree the community is bigger, but by no means better, ive actually had more probs with the xbox network than ps3. but i do agree, i LOVE my ps3 more than my 360

360 despite the raised Live prices this year. It's online is better all the way around..from ease of navigation to downloadable content (rent/own movies and full games, arcade, community like mentioned earlier, etc).

Can anyone compare the reliability of the two? My early 360 has crapped out three times, currently does not read discs

I would get the PS3. My buddy is a hardcore game and has every gaming system made(back to atari and regular nintendo) and his Xbox's do nothing but collect dust.

One of my biggest complaints about the 360 was the noise and heat. It was loud and always running hot! I'm sure the newest generation has fixed this issue tho

If I could do it all over again I would go ps3. I'm on my 5th 360 now, all others have gotten the red ring of death. Only reason I still have a 360 is because all of them have been fixed for free under warranty. I will probably still pick up a ps3 in the near future.

Can I second the retardeness to this
Microsoft pretty much runs computers......check
Microsoft makes the 360........check
Microsoft can buy Sony if they thought they were a threat......check
Microsoft doesn't need BluRay players when you can buy a Player from Walcrap for $70........check
Microsoft fixes their mistakes that make shit break.......(Half check)
Microsoft shows the world they can do what the WII does minus controllers.....check
I ain't hating on the WII or PS3 Move but 360 pretty much runs this shit. All consoles have their pros and cons and its all opinion on what you like but the facts speak for themselves If you buy what you like and have fun.....thats all that matters

ive had both. Ive only got a PS3 now. When they both debuted, 360 had better games, but thats not true at all anymore. And i dont really think the size of the online community makes a difference. Ive never had to wait to be matched up for online games with PS3. personally i think that playstation network is better because its free.
microsoft is known for their software, not their hardware. also, they couldnt buy sony.
also also, PS3 can do what the WII does, but no one gives a fuck, with or without controllers. motion gaming is lame as hell. if i wanted to do something, id go do it. if i want to be a slob, i play video games, and dont move for 3 hours.

Wow.
BlackSS01 added retardedness to this thread...............check!
For one, Microsoft could 'buy' Sony? Good luck. MS is a software company, not a well know hardware manufacturer. PS3 is still the benchmark for all other BD players out there. PS3 has the Move. Sorry, but I need buttons for games.......
Oh and MS fixes their mistakes? That's just funny.Last edited by korndawg; 11-18-2010 at 04:12 AM.
