    PS2 problems

I have an HD projector and I have all my equipment hooked up via component... and missed having my PS2, so I went out and bought the component adapter for the PS2. The games look great on the 110" screen, especially the games with built in HD support like GT4. But I'm having problems playing my PS1 games now! When I put a PS1 game, I get audio fine, but then the video cuts out and I get a no-source warning like the cables are unplugged after the PS2 logo screen goes away. If I flip inputs real quick SOMETIMES I can see video for a half second BEFORE it switches inputs, but it never "sticks" on. Whats the dealy? Can PS1 games only be used in the PS2 via composit cables (red/white/yellow)?

    Everything fiberglass
    2005 Amberlamps

It could possibly be different, since PS1 games are CD-ROMs and PS2 games are DVD-ROMs.
