Protest Songs
Okay.. I have to write a 7ish page paper for Comp over a "recent" protest song. Basically, it can protest anything. There's even a guy using "Baby Got Back" because he is going to argue that it protests society's view of what is hot. I know there are a million songs that can be considered protest songs, but she wants something that we have to argue. I'm having a really hard time finding one that gives me enough to talk about for 7 pages or so. So if any of you have ANY songs in mind that are at least long enough or not obvious enough that I have to "prove" my point.. that would be amazing. Thank you!!!

Problem there is that most of it is very obvious... and she wants one that someone can argue back and say "no, it's not a protest song"
I really wish I could use an older one... but she's "too afraid we'll run into plaigarism issues since they've been written about so many times."

I did.. but I can't use them. They're not really arguable. The best example I have of what she wants is "baby got back" because someone can say "no, that's not a protest song." And then we have to say why it actually is. (The guy that's using that one is using it as a protest against what society says is the ideal appearance)

Oh!! Is it "Before he cheats"? I think that's the name anyway.
I'm looking at using "Runaway Love" now
