I'm saying it's not such a big deal that you & the news is making out to be.....And I don't consider my mother-in-law a close relative just because I married her daughter.
Just because THEY have a dying relative, all laws are to be ignored?? I don't buy that.
The officer was a dick.....to spend this kind of time & effort persecuting a stupid law enforcement officer is a fucking waste of time & energy.
Again I say.....Who cares??
Oh.....Of course we had to have the fucking race card played too! Classic!Last edited by rbob93; 03-27-2009 at 09:44 AM.

The cop had no choice... the guy was black.

cops act like this everyday, and now it happens to someone in a position to raise a stink about it it's headline news.
throw the cop in general population and tell everyone he's a pedo.

No, the cop just noticed he was a NFL player or something in the back of his head and decided to be mr big powerful guy here. I'm pretty sure if I was outside the hospital and someone close to me was dying I would kick the pig in the balls, he could give me the ticket AFTER I get in the hospital later. It's not like im going to run away after the person is dead. Cops just get big heads and want to be ABOVE the law.

Note to self: I can run any red light if it is near a hospital that way if a cop sees me I can pull in to the hospital parking lot and tell him (Make up a name) is dying. Cop will be looked at as an ass hole. HAHA fucking pig. BTY I think he should keep his job. I love dick cops, even more when they are on video. Gives me something to laugh at.

Why the hell did he draw his gun? Never draw your weapon unless you intend to use it.
Cop was a dick, he couldn't comprehend the situation, he should be fired, we need less idiot cops out there

Exactly right - but in the news article, Moats said he was 'ok' with paying the ticket after leaving the hospital.
Agreed - and I personally don't really 'care', I just wanted to see/hear people's opinions.
Yea, I saw that too - and that's absolutely b.s. - I don't believe that was an element in this.
The other funny part that I heard a news reporter say was that there was a power outage at some point, and the light wasn't changing since it didn't reset properly, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

You guys should know by now that I hate LEO-haters, and that I generally side with the police in most situations, but after watching the video, it truly seemed like this police officer was taking advantage of the situation and misusing his power to cause distress to the driver.
It's standard protocol to draw your weapon if the driver exits the vehicle during a routine traffic stop.

In my opinion he should have gotten his license/registration/insurance and let him go inside.
Sure it's not the norm, but that would be extenuating circumstances in my mind. The cop should have had a bit more compassion.

I hear you.....I just get tired of people that think because they have money or power that they are deserving of some sort of entitlement.
The scene probably went similar to this; The cop stops the car legally, is then assailed by a barrage of BS from the asshole occupants that think they are the most important people in the world. Cop gets pissed & decides to be as big an asshole as them, it escalates from there.
Now you've got a whole group of people trying to be the biggest asshole while the old lady upstairs is heading to the final curtain.
Whole thing could have been avoided had the driver not felt he was so important that he could disregard the law.
(Besides, I'm sure the hospital didn't wait till an hour before she was ready to die to notify the family)
