dumb quesition... are we importing firefighters from other states? if not, why arent we?
i mean, i guess maybe theres just only so much water that can be used for it, so its not more ppl, but more water we need... altho, they said firefighters are switching off on 24 hour shifts. i think we should give them a break and send some volunteers from other areas over there. the fire dept in my town hasnt been used in months

Yes,we have firefighters from all over California,Arizona,Nevada,Oregon, Colorado,US Forest Service, BLM, 1500 Cal National Guard,Navy, Marines, you name it,they are here. Some of these guys have been on the road for 24 hrs. and more. Some companies have been on the lines since Sunday with no relief, God bless em! Weather conditions have improved here today, cooler and not as windy.

arson is said to be the cause, CNN reported it first that FBI has found it in the 3 places of the fires' origin... shit!

my prayers and heart goes out to the 1500+ that lost their home and almost 1 million evacuated and thousands sick of breathing the ashes... I was on the IM today with some new web dev business clients in So Cali and they said it was very bad in their area. close to San Diego...
