Black ice on I-75 back in '82. I wasn't driving. Luckily no one died. Took 350+ stitches to sew the side of my head back together though.

I was in critical condition unconscience for 2 weeks.... have pretty much no memory prior to the accident of ANYTHING... took me a couple months to relearn my friends, family, spelling... etc. I remember waking up the first time in the hospital with 5 people standing over me... not knowing who they were.. to find out they were my parents, sister and grandparents.... took me a week at home to finally accept they were my family. I had a triple fracture in my middle ear where I lost 80% of my hearing... had sergury to gain back almost all but about 20%. I have a shattered 7th vertebra.. which nothing can be done about.. but I have to constantly crack it to PREVENT migraines... I pretty much have what eeveryone else would call a headach 24/7.. but about once a month I get a 7 alarm migrain that completely incompacitates me. It took over 300 stitches in my face.... they dont know how many cause they used everyone they had... I still have glass/pavement/stones/something in my face that you can see/feel. I now need glasses. I have a huge problem learning/remembering things... and I guess I have gained somewhat of a temper/get frusterated easily now. But what can you do right?
