Post up your pictures of your custom garage
OK guys, I know you have some. Please post up your pictures of your custom garages. I'm in the process of redoing two garages and I want to get some ideas. I want to keep it low cost. However, cost is not really the object here.
If I see something I really have to have I'll do it.
Garage #1 - Working Garage:
For this garage I plan on doing all my maintenance in. It will still have to house two cars in this two car garage and I plan on maintaining all my toys out of this garage.
Those toys include. Motorhome parked in the street for work. Boat parked on driveway while working. A custom pickup, a jeep, a SUV, My Firebird, My Honda, My wife's sedan, a golf cart possibly. So ideas along those lines would be nice.
I would like to have such items as 32" flat screen (HDTV 1080p-$400) with computer hook ups for viewing manuals on line etc. Wifi will cover my connection needs.
Items will include bandsaw, table saw, tool chest, work benches, maybe a short lift? to get a car up 12-24" or so. Still have to get both cars in there though. Air compressors with seperate storage tank (so I can take it with me wheeling etc.), retractable power and air with 75' reach. It should have portable heater and A/C. There is no welding or sand blasting in either garage. My buddy down the street has that covered and there is a complete machine shop an wood shop next door to this place.
Storage for this concept garage will be 10 x 10 storage shed in the back yard.
Garage #2 - Where I'll store the Bird, Custom Pickup and golf cart:
This is a 2.5 car garage with two single garage doors. The theme of this garage will be show car / truck and golfing. I know... what a mix. The golf cart will be some sort of custom cart though. Think flames on black cart. This garage will have to include charging station for golf cart. I will use this garage only for minor maintenance. This will be a place to hang out while loading the boat with ski equipment etc.. It might need to be used for oil changes but, that is about it really. A oil change on the weekend or something simple.
I'm thinking about such things as 32" flat screen (HDTV 1080p-$400)that I can run pictures of cars / watch golfing and such though. Doesn't need internet connections etc... I will wifi those and use a laptop for tech or sports data.
Once again portable heater and A/ C would be nice. No frig needed. Neon signs etc...
Storage for this area is over head storage with a pull down ladder to that area.
This is light weight and smaller storage though.
So guys, show me how you saved space and the cool garages you have built.Last edited by Mecinoid; 12-14-2009 at 10:40 PM.

Arctic White & Black- '98 WS6 M6 - SWAPTIME!
i'll post up pics of me & dad's progress on building ours later on
38'x38', one lift, three doors, radiant heat in floors, 12'x38' paint booth in back, lofted for parts storage, doogie door for the pooches, "burned" floors for easy clean up ... we're finishing the floors saturday, walls go up next saturday, trusses week after that
but for now, the backyard is just a mud pitLast edited by tep98ws6; 12-16-2009 at 07:28 AM.

Black- 1997 Firehawk LT4
I've got one of these:
But I don't own a Camaro, lol. I liked the box, and got a deal I couldn't turn down from Snap-On.
And before anyone calls me Lawdog, this is NOT a pic of MY garage...I found it on the web. I DO own a digital camera, but my wife has it at my son's preschool today. And no, I'm not posting pics of my wife, either.

Here's a picture of what is on my wall in my garage:
I'm not sure what colors to paint it just yet............I want to cut out a mirror and in-lay it in the center of the Chevy symbol.
