The genesis Hyundai sedan looks like a mash up of alot of luxo sedans, so if it's not an exact rip off they have no worries. You're right, people (me too sort of) are stupid and only look at looks mostly. A car might be a pos, but if it looks good.. You mentioned Kia with a thread titled about failing companies, but I think they're doing fine. American cars won't ever stop being labeled as crap no matter how good they become, again because people are stupid. So they're at a disadvantage from the start.

with a bankruptcy they might have been able to pull it off ..
but with Government Motors they might .. just depends which one Gov. gets more money from ..
