Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Julie owns one.
Will go longer with a Toyota motor in it.
They are ALL the same anymore. Buy what you like based on looks.

83 Z28 new project- 98 Formula WS7-sold:(
That sounds about right. Mitsubishi and Chrysler have been working together for years also. Talon and Eclipse are the same pretty much and there are other examples. Ford and Mazda also work together.

Julie loves it.
I hate it.
No room in the back seat for a 6 footer without them banging their knees on the seat ahead of them. Unless the seat gets moved forward, but even then...you are restricting space up front.
Once in my 2 door grand am's back seat, it has just as much room....but has more up front.

I usually keep my mouth shut when it comes to the “beancounter” comments since I know that most do not truly understand the role of the accounting department (and its subcategories) in the corporate environment.
I can say one thing with absolute, 100% certainty: if GM did not employ any “beancounters” they would not be in existence today for you to complain about.

I know its out a lot of guys on this site's headspace but toyota does infact make some quality product. The engines in a vibe last a real long time, the fit and finish is quite good too. These days ALL car manufacturers are cheaping out in all different areas and looking good in others. Buy what you like. There is no such thing as a perfect car. 20 yrs ago a company like Hyundai was a complete laughing stock and a total piece of shit, in 2008 look at their current product line. Its jus a cunt hair behind the best that japan and USA has to offer. For a discounted price.
My 2 cents

ehhh a cunt hair behind the best? My ass... My roommate has a hyundia... 06.... and honestly, you get what you pay for. Late 90's interior, seats that give you back problems, and door panels(exterior) that you can flex with your pinky. I would take the interior and seats of my old 96 cavy ANY DAY over the new hyundias and kias.... well, except the tibby and tuscan(which cost waaay more)
I'll give em props where they are due though.... they dont randomly fall apart anymore, and they get great mileage. As far as Im concerned, they are worth exactly what you pay for them now, cheap.

this makes me wonder why the vibe is soooo freakin expensive? if it's a rebadged import-you'd think they'd be able to have more flex in the price...i've seen most used for greater than 15k...just seems a bit much

You must assume that imports (for some reason) are cheaper.

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Welcome to 2002.
My mom has one, nice little car. Decent pick up, and great gas mileage. I used it to go to NY once, I got like 34mpg.
IIRC, Toyota did the mechanicals, and Pontiac did the styling/interior.
Reliable, it's got almost 80k and no problems, except for an A/C problem when new that was covered under warranty. Oh one problem, cd player skips when braking. Annoying as hell.

You aren't familiar with the Azera, Veracruz and Sonata are you. Tiburon and tuscon way more? uhhhhh the tuscon is their entry level suv. The tibruon interior is probably the worst interior of any current model they make except for maybe the accent. Anyone that thinks that a 96 cavalier has a better interior then well shit nearly any 05+ model car of any of the major manaufacturers is smoking a lot of crack and needs to go to rehab.
