Just bragging alittle on my acheivement tonight.

I played in a poker tourney on Pokerstars.com. It was 11 dollar buy in +1 for the house = 12 dollars invested

Texas Holdem No limit -180 man tourney - top 18 paid.

I got first place-- I won total of $596

TOTAL PROFIT = $584-- Not bad for a 1 hr 45 minutes of work.

(it was a turbo tourney)-- 5 minute blind increases.

Does anyone else play there?

I tried Full Tilt.
I know it sounds like a dumb reason, but I just don't like the cheesy layout, and the bobble head type icons that people have.

I guess when you really think about it... Casinos spend tons of money designing their colors and floor plans and machine/ table placement for a reason.

I find Pokerstars to be the most "refined" online poker site.

I have also played party poker, I didn't care for that one much either.

I have played fake money on Ultimate bet before, but I that one was wack.

anywhere from 10-30 im just feeling out the site. I want to start doing 50-100 heads up. im good at those. I was a poker dealer for a while so im a very decent player.

i play poker stars, but only once and a while a friend of mine has two monitors, and play 7- 15 games at a time. he only plays kk or aa. that's it. he made over 1 k in about 1.5 days. heis really goood.

I won two on full tilt, made the final table in 5 more and placed in the money 11 times.

Both that I won were $24+2. The first one had 1,250 players with first place being $5,4xx.xx and the second had 1,100 with first place $5,1xx.xx.

I really need to start playing again.

There is a WSOP event here starting next week and I'm really considering entering one of the satellites.

i have learned to stay in my comfort range. most people when there up they will go play with the big dogs and its totaly deferent.

They have the "sunday million dollar" (+) tourney every week. Buy in is $215.

I have played mini tourneys to win a ticket to the big touney. I have played in the "sunday Million tourney" maybe 4 or 5 times. With no luck.

Top guy usually gets $150-200K (depending on how many entries of course)

I honestly feel like If I can get a decent stack and get a few good hands. I can make it deep into any online tourney. But for some reason, I usually get the raw end of the deal.

So My biggest win is like $720 or so -- I think that was 1st maybe 2nd in a $20x 180 tourney.

I like the 6 man tourney -- top two get paid. 33% chance you get paid, and if you play with "skill" it probably doubles your chances, because most players are not good at all.

I am pulling that money out - and doing some Christmas shopping though. but I would love to leave it in there and try to make some real money off of it.
