Planning a short trip, SLC, LV, LA

Well on Monday I do some business in SLC, Thursday night business ends and I fly to Vegas, Saturday morning I fly to Los Angeles. Leave Sunday afternoon.

SLC- I literally have no idea what I will be doing here, maybe drive around aimlessly and see some scenic views.
Las Vegas- Going to do some much needed shopping during the day, maybe go for a swim, at night I'll hit some clubs/lounges.
Los Angeles - Maybe see Santa Monica pier, go to a USC game vs. Colorado, then on Sunday maybe hit up the Grauman's Chinese Theatre or something.

Any ideas?

SLC/Utah is a beautiful state! The scenery is breath-taking, air is stupid clean albeit thin due to SLC being about 4300 feet above sea level. you can go to downtown SLC and look at the Mormon temple, open for tourists, interesting to see, also maybe take a drive up to Snowbird/Alta ski resorts, it's only 30 minutes away and again, beautiful scenery.

Vegas, too many things to list, even just walking into the Paris casino would be pretty bitchin for you if you've never been in there.
Also the Bellagio, another gorgeous casino, lots of shops in there.

L.A.?
Fuck USC, go watch UCLA play Utah at the Rose Bowl!!!

Santa Monica Pier is neat, also spending the day at Venice Beach is pretty wild!!! Picture walking around with street peddlers, street vendors, street performers, artists, lots of places to buy clothing, sunglasses, all kinds of stuff for much cheaper prices than any mall shop. Also there's LOTS of places to eat at Venice Beach, there's Greek, Dot Indian, Italian, hot dogs, pizza, stuff like that.
Take a camera.

I'll definitely take my camera, take it everywhere.

I can't go to UCLA/Utah because that's this weekend. I'll be in LA on the 20th.

I'm sure the scenery around SLC is good, any cool caves to see or anything like that, you know of?

I also haven't booked a hotel for LA yet, any recommendations? I don't care too much for luxury, just a decent place in a decent area. I'll be landing in LAX, maybe see USC play, then check out one of the beaches.

Edit- Been to Vegas many times, I won't need a "how to on Vegas" lol

Honestly, SLC is kind of lame. I haven't really found too much to do but eat and drive around.

Their capitol building is pretty sweet though.
