Pictures of my dad's 1957 Chevy pickup
My dad's had this truck since he was 17. It's a 1957 Chevrolet 3200 Camper Special Long Bed. Bought it for $300 in 1975. He's put 4 different engines in it has driven it everywhere. He restored it in 1995 and for some reason parked it in the garage since then. Only put around 500 miles on it since. I kind of forgot we even had it. Now my brother's selling him the 383 out of his Chevelle and my dad's selling the current 350 to my friends dad. This of course made my dad decide to get an all new disc brake kit, new shocks/springs (lowering the rear), a Be Cool crossflow aluminum, a posi-trac rear end, and some other stuff. Here's some pics I took of it earlier today. I forgot to take pictures of the interior or engine but I'll take some tomorrow.

Gorgeous truck! It's got the big rear window too...that's somewhat rare, isn't it?
I'd lose those wheels though, they definitely scream mid-90's.
Some chrome smoothies or red Chevy Rallys would look great on there. I like the vinatage style wheels on trucks.

thanks for the compliments guys, my dad's going to be stoked when I show him them. And yes, the big rear window is kind of rare, not really sure how rare since it's kind of hard to find any info on these trucks online. It was part of the Camper Special package. According to my dad it made it a long bed, gave it the big rear window, the hood bulges, and a V8 engine. I also forgot to say that my dad put a '73 Camaro front clip on it, so underneath all that it drives like a Camaro. no straight front axle like it came with.

that's bad ass! My favorite year. I love the step sides and the also love the wrap around windows on those trucks. If I were ever to buy a truck... that would be the one, only I prefer the short bed as far as looks go.
I've always wanted one with black interior and shimmering Maroon paint job...
Nice truck

you can kind of see where the Camaro clip meets the frame.
Here's what the truck looked like in the late '70s. The guy in the picture is one of my dad's old friends. Notice the rootbeer brown roof and surfboard racks. My dad hand painted the logs on the camper. I'm pretty sure he actually lived in it for a few years going surfing all over the place.

That's awesome, that old pic is the best!
Great looking truck, I like the interior and that's one clean engine compartment!
I'd never guess that truck has sat for ten years.
