so instead of posting this and jacking another thread i thought i'd start my own.... i sold my 02 T/A WS6 a bit over 2 years ago now and my 95 Formy 7 years ago tomorrow (kicking my own ass over that... loved that car even though it was an LT1)

feeling kinda down because i just bought a house and my job isn't exactly stable and the wife wants to start having children so i may not have anything to fill the v8 gap for a while

i thought i outgrew the desire but now that they have been gone for so long i understand that it is something i will never outgrow.

anyway here are a few pics:

the 95 formy:

here is my DD a 2006 grand prix GT (l32 supercharged stock) it is not the fastest car out there but i gutted the airbox and the S/C screams... turns heads cause most people don't know it's blown.

mods: SE front air dam, SPO grilles, SPO exhaust tips, SPO wing, 30% tint, gutted airbox, silver star turns, debadged, Alpine Type-R 6x9s, Alpine CDE-103bt, Alpine type R components, Alpine MRP-M500 (500w) amp, 2 Alpine SWE-1243 12" subs, chrome KV5 18" wheels with BFG 235/50/ZR18s.

my dad did the same thing when he and my mom started to have children, got rid of his muscle cars and fun cars, and was trapped in driving a crappy station wagon and smallblock pickup.

i've been trying to convince him to get another road runner or something, but i think he feels he's "too old" now, and complains that even getting in and out of my car is bad on his back, lol... but that school boy grin when he drives it around, that no one can wipe of his face, says otherwise.

you never outgrow it if you truly have a passion for it, i say when the time is right and you're in a better financial situation, you owe it to yourself to get something you truly enjoy.

i think it looks better with out all the letters and crap. i mean, i would never pull a ws6 badge off a bird but this isn't the same to me.

That formula is beautiful, what the hell does your wife want kids for if your job isn't even stable?

I like it Krese. A ram air hood would look KILLER on that car. You and Jeremy(LS1Camino) could share ideas on making yours more potent should the urge get to you.

i will be able to get other work, i'm just bummed because it was one of THOSE jobs that you would like to be able to keep.. earned a good wage and was able to come and go as i please as long as i got my shit done... the company is outsourcing the entire IT department so myself and 200+ people will be terminated.

Damn,the formula is beautiful,always liked the 93-97 formula the best.particularly remember a new 97 ws6 white formula at the local pontiac dealer,really wanted that car.

Awesome DD. Hell, I'd get an old LT1 for a DD beater and pour not but a couple thousand into casper

Found an LT1 car yesterday I'm gunna go look at this week, LS1 drivetrain, has some mods, could be a good track car, $3200 supposedly its in nice shape, guy lost his job and needs the money he put into it. Finding that alot around here, unfortuanately...

yeah, i am on the grand prix forums often.. this is my 3rd 3800 s/c car that i've owned and the only one that i have not dropped to smaller pulley sizes with supporting mods... i just want to keep this one stock and get a v8... goal is to pay it off, keep it nice and make it last as long as i can. yeah, i could make it faster (mid 13's would be easy to do with a few mods) but will never have the v8 sound or 330+ tq at the REAR wheels where it belongs!
