Atomic Orange- 66 Cobra
Pics of 1980lb C5 Vette based cars that I built
Hey Guys, I love high performance cars of all types. I especially like Hot Rods, Cobras, and the 1950 Sports racers. I designed my own space frame chassis to which the C5 suspension Cradles and drivetrain bolt into. My Hot Rod and my original designed sports car use the stock Vette wheelbase and track. I moved the engine rearward by 20 inches for a true mid engine balance. I am 6'2 inches tall and when I am in the car my head is below the vintage looking head fairings.
My Cobra has the stock 90 inch wheel base. This required building my own suspension cradles and converting the Vettes transaxle into accepting a driveshaft.
I race my cars and the performance is incredible. At Gateway International Raceway I won a 3 event shoot out. I won the drags, autocross, and roadracing. I won the roadracing by 6 seconds per lap. I am running stock LS6 power with the 6 speed T56.
I hope you enjoy looking at them. I know that they are not for every one. But, I enjoy building and driving them. I am working on a very minimal body for my chassis. Something like the Aeril concept. Thanks for looking, John

I admire your skills. I would do the exact same thing if I had the time, space, and most importantly, talent.
