Photoshop Users Inside Please
I just got Photoshop CS3 the other day and I thought it would be easy to use to make funny pictures like sharks coming out of the water toward boats and water skiers at the lake and things like that. I was wrong because this software is incredibly complex and I don't even know where to start. Do I need to take a class or something to learn how to make funny pictures like this?

It takes a lot of practice and knowing what the program can do, a lot of people learn it themselves but there are classes offered for it... either way in most cases it takes a long time to learn. tss could probably help you out.

Your best bet is to just fuck around with it. A lot. Programs like these, there are an infinite amount of features that you only seem to find on accident while trying to do something else. Ive had Photoshop since 7 first came out years ago, im still finding new shit. But if you want some basic tutorials, search around on google there are a TON of good ones.

Thanks, I'll have to do that. I could put my friends and enemies in very compromising situations with this software. I've got lots of pics of them in various poses so this should be fun once I learn how to do it.

Practice putting your girlfriends face on porn bodies. It will teach you how to lasso and blend, etc. Once you learn a little, you can really fly with that program.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
• open 2 images.
• select lasso tool and outline shark as best you can [it's ok if you eF up]
• once you have it oulined, press "Q" to enter "quick masking" and your selection will be red.
• Select a paint brush of 10 pixels or so and 50% hardness. PAINT the parts of the shark [or whatever] that you want to finish selecting-remmeber if you paint it, it's actually selecting it. If you want to unselect an area, press "x" and paint over areas you want to unselect. You can press X as often as you need to swap between select/unselect
• press "Q" again and you'll see the outlined object.
• select the pointer tool [the arrow], click/drag the selection onto your other photo.

Light Pewter Metallic- y2k 8-cylinder catfish
The best way to teach yourself is to keep pluggin' away on it. Photoshop is what I use for my career so I pretty much know the ins and outs of it. I did have a class on it in college, but most of what I know, I taught myself. Good luck!

I graduated for Graphic Arts... in a field where Photoshop is one of the most used programs... and I'm pretty confident that I couldn't do that Shark thing either...(NO as good as that one anyways)... so don't be worried if you just got it and have trouble working it
