Passive Jammers don't work.
Active Jammers can cost upwards of $1,000, and are also illegal, with an up to $11,000 fine.
Just save your money and buy a good detector.

The only "jammers" you'll find for radar are passive, and passive = does not jam at all. Laser scramblers exist, but are pretty much worthless unless the laser beam is pointed directly at the device (which causes the gun to register an error on th laser, so we just move it a few inches in any direction and get a reading anyway).
Lasers are regulated by the FDA, so there is no law that covers the use of interference-creating devices for them. However, RADAR signals are regulated by the FAA/DoD/DOHS (read: Federales), and are heavily regulated. The creation, distribution and/or use of an active radar jamming/scrambling device without express permission from the DoD is strictly prohibited, and all such devices are federal contraband. I've seen a few homemade devices over the years, mostly in reports and write-ups for LEO's about this topic, and they all ended with federal-level prosecution. Unless you are military or law enforcement, such a device is going to bring the Dept. of Homeland Security knocking on your door, and that's not good (those guys are just not very nice, even to us fellow LEO's).
Bottom line is this:
Passive Jammer = crap
Laser Jammer = ineffective, with a high "Piss of the Po-lice" factor
Active Jammer = Snake Oil, because they DO NOT EXIST in the civillian world. If you find one, it is either fake, poor marketing, or an invitation to a Federal indictment.
