    Peyton Manning

He's fixing to be a free agent. Any guesses on where he'll land? Dream team?

I know it has the same chances as a snowball in hell, but I'd love to see him in a Cowboy uniform.

If he does retire does anyone think he'd make a really good quarterback coach besides me?

Personally I think the guy should hang it up since he's had neck surgery.

Miami will make a play for him I bet along with AZ. Miami probably has the best shot IMO. JAX is sitting on some money too but I don't see him going there.

It will be very weird no matter where he goes. He will always be a Colt in my eyes. And I'm not even a Colts fan...

If I had my predictions, I could see the Redskins and Titans trying to shmooze him. I had heard the Texans were looking as well, but don't they already have like 3 decent qb's they are juggling? I'd personally like to see a double offense nyg, run two totally different schemes between the brothers, but that is nothing more than a dream. Not a fan of the giants either, just would like to see things spiced up a bit in the NFL

Texans, Miami, Deadskins, Niners and the Jets will make the strongest plays for him.

I would say the Texans would have the best chance of luring him and almost put them on my list but my gut tells me they feel their future at QB is already there.....unless they could get him somewhat cheap I don't see it happening. The Texans want to win and have most of the key players in place to do so.....Manning would probably see that and know his chance of winning is better there than the other places but I don't see him going anywhere cheap. I personally would like to see him at the Texans so he can own the Colts twice a year before he retires.

As a colts fan I'd like to see him go to an nfc team, but as a Peyton fan I'd really like to see him go to a division rival and kick the colts ass for letting him go

There is a lot emotion involved, that's for sure. There are $28 million uncertain reasons that made this the right decision, for both Peyton and the team. It is obvious both sides didn't want this outcome.

Sucks the Colts stiffed him, but I think he should retire. He'll never be what he was.

watching ESPN at lunch, the commentator speaking "Manning at 90% is far better then most of the NFL doing 110%"

    I agree.

But I can see why he wouldn't want to quit.

San Fran or Houston maybe. Denver was rumored, but I sincerely doubt he'd come here considering the team that would be around him.

We have the pocket book so there's always hope. I don't think him and the shannies would get along though. Peyton likes to run the offense on the fly and his way...I can't see kyle liking that too much.

Niners and jets...really? Maybe the jets but I can't see the niners ditching smith after the kick ass season they had.

Smith was the worst part of that whole team.....with Manning there they would've been hoisting the trophy. I don't know how their contract situation out there looks but I would think with the defensive players they have money would probably be an issue.

I also don't think Peyton would do well with loud mouth as a head coach. That's not his style. You can bet Peyton wants the right fit first and money second. He's a smart dude and unlike the other 99.999% of the players he won't just try to get a fat paycheck. I'm not sure how his contract works out and if they cut him or he's going as a free agent but someone might owe him $28 mil to sign him. I don't think it's working out like that but I haven't read any details on it yet.

I can see the storylines now, Tim Tebow carries Peyton Manning's jock strap to practice and prays while holding it.

The storylines that would come from Denver if Manning goes there would be pathetic and the overblown media coverage from that would turn me off to the NFL until Manning retired.

He is a free agent and no one is on the hook for the $28 million if they sign him. You are right, Peyton is smart and money will not be the primary factor in his decision. I am pretty certain he probably has a money tree growing in his bedroom and really isn't needing financial security at this point. I would think his main determining factors will be a coaching staff that will allow him freedom and an offensive line that can protect his fragile ass at this point with a chance to get another Super bowl so little brother doesn't have him 1 upped now.

Well, I admit it would be exciting to have him here in Denver... I think alot of teams and fans would welcome him. The media coverage would be rediculous though, and would become tiresome pretty quickly. If anybody was going to help Tebow progress into any kind of quarterback, it would be manning.

As far as him being fragile. I heard one analyst talking about what Peyton's doctor had told him, and that was that he isnt anymore vulnerable to a serious or life threatening injury than he was before, so I dont think that's the issue. It's just if he can recover and play at a high level. He may not be in top form, but it's Peyton Manning, he doesnt need to be in top form to be great.

I have heard the b/s about him not being fragile etc, but after 3 or 4 neck surgeries do you really believe that he isn't vulnerable?
