People who don't pay...suck
If i added up all the money that people have owned me in the last 4 years, i probably come out to about $2,500. [this is a mix of personal/professional]
So if you did the same, how much richer would you be? [sarge...your answer is void, b/c somehow I think we are all paying you anyway...]

I've never loaned any money to friends, ever.
Family is a different story. I give my mom money all the time but would not consider it a loan because I do not expect nor would I accept repayment.
Last year I "loaned" my brother 5,000 cash in addition to him living with me rent free. He was going back to college so he quit working so he could finish quicker. My deal with him was that I would claim him as a dependent on my tax return (as I was legally entitled to do ) and I would knock off the amount I saved in taxes as a result from what he owed me. Now his debt is down to 1,700 and he starts work in January so I probably will get paid some time next year.

i don't loan money to people, cause chances of getting that shit back are slim. i did however, pay almost $400 for a ticket my cousin recieved when he wrecked his big rig. he got injured and couldn't work for a few months. but i did that never expecting, or wanting repaid. he's kinda like the brother i never had.

I loaned 20 bucks to a friend of mine and he did repay, which surprised the ever-loving shit outta me. However, we get it in business sometimes, they 'bait' you by paying every time, then blammo, you get nothin.

I've never loaned money to anyone. I pay for stuff for my friends though, and they do the same for me. We don't keep tabs or anything... because we're friends, not loan sharks and poor suckers, so relying on karma I figure its around equal.

i can understand having to remind family and friends of money owed, but its jus bad business to get stiffed for professional work. If you are offering goods and services to people you gotta protect yourself from gettin banged out for your work.
Do people owe me money? yeah probably, but me and my friends say "I'll spot ya" all the time and we never ask for it back. I treat my friends to things when we chill and vice versa. I've never loaned a large sum of money to anyone other then one buddy and he paid me back almost immediately.

Payback is a mother fucker. Go attack their property or something. I've done it before and it made me feel great. One time I let a friend have a pair of sunglasses and he promised to pay me $50 for them. 8 months later and still no money, we took a trip to Mexico. While he was out bangin' some chick I got in his wallet and took the money he owed me. He thought someone had stolen it so I played stupid and we tried to find out who it was. We didn't find the culprit and he ended up paying me ANOTHER $50 later for them and I gladly accepted. I was more than happy with the 100% return on that loan.
