Any of you play? Just curious, always looking for new people to shoot at

and what are you thoughts on the new 2142?

IMO too futuristic. but might get used to it.....dunno yet

I've played it a few times, great game, my dad and brother play it, but the Unreal Tournament games are my favorite.

I play it on PS2. The actual game is ok but playing it online kicks ass and it's so addictive. The new one looks like a star wars type game. I'm more of the realistic type shit not shit of the future. If u can get a chance to play it on line for the PS2 u will be impressed.

I play although I have't played in awhile since my pc crashed but I'm about to get a new one and will be back playing. I usually play with my brother and my cousin. I also have it for the xbox 360, its way easier than the pc version mostly because its a max of 24 players but is still fun as hell. I have't played or seen 2142 yet but a friend has it and says it kicks ass.

If you have a mid-to-high end graphics card BF2 is amazing. I haven't played BF2142 yet but 2 of my friends have on a demo and they said it completely, utterly sucks. My online searching for reviews haven't found 1 good review of BF2142.

I have played BF1942 for PC online, and I wasn't impressed at all.. the game physics were far from realistic, and the UI was weak at best.

I have played FPS games for over 10 years. I haven't had the chance to try 2142, as I am currently addicted to Star Wars Galaxies. It has an EXCELENT space sim intigrated into the ground game. There is a difference between the game in discussion and SWG however, SWG is I guess an MMO/RPG. However, the space part of it which is where my addiction lies.. is incredible in terms of "Star wars" realism.

Customizable ships/loadouts/weapons/devices on the ships themselves.

For those who have played space sims, such as Wing Commander, or older games such as Tie Fighter, or X-wing, will appreciate it.

After reading posts on BF 2142, I am curious to see how it compares.
