I guess the way he came back from a knee injury, played the whole series, and shut the great white woman rapist down doesnt mean anything does it? Where the fuck are you coming from? Where did I give my opinon on who I think's the greatest?

Here's the bottom line buddy, and you can take this to the bank: of the five or ten guys that really are argueably the greatest.....they don't make that stupid of a comment. Would you like to know why they don't??? It's because they don't have to.

Easily the greatest. Easily.Played against better players at all positions than the players of old (i.e. Bill Russell), and he dominated the game from the guard position. No 7' height advantage.

But to get back to the original point of this thread, pierce is a complete jerk-off who didnt do ANYTHING in the playoffs (maybe to the conf. finals once, i dont know) until he got two other perennial all stars on his squad. Kobe has been single-handedly carrying the Lakers for years, and is the most feared player in the league right now (cept maybe lebron). Pierce shouldn't even look Kobe or Lebron in the eyes, he's not on the same level.

I'd take Russel in his prime against any starting center today. Watch his games (Which I'm sure you have never taken the time to do) before making such a statement. And imagine how much MORE dominating him or Wilt would have been if they were able to travel the way the NBA allows it today.

And as a Celtics fan on the original post: Peirce said the DUMBEST shit ever and will regret it one day. (Sooner or later)

in his day he was great BUT @ 6'10" AND 210 lbs he would get bounced around like a ping pong ball against todays players...........many more rules in todays game..........his scoring avg was only 15.1 PPG............his rebound avg was excellent 22.5.........and yes I have seen him play..........I am not your avg sports fan. I know my sports history

This thread is exactly why I said Pierce is an idiot..............I raised the question about Pierce's comments..........and IMMEDIATELY most people in the thread are bringing up names of other players that are definitely "greater" players than Paul Pierce will ever be.
