Parents Don't Forget Your Kids!
Last Thursday a father of four in a city about 15 minutes away from me forgot his 2yr old daughter in the car for three hours. The inside of the car was at 130* when he found her, her core body temp was 108*, she did not make it.

We've been having 100*+ days for weeks now and this is an ever present danger, so just a heads up. This is scary and sad to me, I have an 18 mo old daughter myself, so I thought I'd pass along a little reminder.
I can't imagine the thoughts going through the father's mind. He was absorbed in trying to get the other three in the house and had a moment of forgetfulness that will haunt him forever.

I saw this thread earlier and was going to post this, except with much more conviction, anger, and cursing.
IMO if a persons' thought process is so narrow that they can forget about their CHILD, it's quite amazing they've made it that far in life in the first place and certainly have no rightful place being a parent.

I've heard a few stories like this one. The dad forgot to drop his kid off at daycare and left the kid in the car when he got to work. They said that the mom was the one that takes the kids to daycare and he forgot all about it. I can see how something like that can happen, so i don't know what to say about it.

Yep, my two year old does the same thing. And yes the worst I ever did was forget to buckle her seat down for a 15min ride. And I too felt like crap even more so because I freak out on family members who dont properly hook up the seat, thank god no dumbass decided to hit my car that day.

No amount of jail time is harder then what they have to live with the rest of their life.

Yeah, it's a shame. All the people that SHOULD be reproducing, because they'd have kids that would actually be useful members of society, don't, because they're smart enough not to want kids in the first place.
However, the lowest part of society pumps them out by the dozens.
Ever see the movie Idiocracy? It WILL happen someday.
