Painting a toilet
I just got an apartment a few weeks ago with two of my buddies and its a 3/2 set up. Anyways, one guy has the master bath and I don't care but the other bathroom is obviously being shared. My question is this, we want to paint our toilet gold. Is it possible to paint the porcelin and get the paint off later when the lease is up? Serious question btw.

a toilet costs like $80...you can easily replace it before removing the paint.
That said, you'd probably have to sand it down to scuff the hardened enamel then paint it

just spray paint it, gloss it and sand it with a 2000grit and then a 4000...

I'm posting pictures when its done. I just had to make sure it was possible first. We're putting a sign over that says "The Throne"
We're also getting a mini fridge in there that we can put our TV on top of and PS2.

Good Luck painting a toilet. I saw a "How It's Made" episode on the Discovery Channel and they don't mess around with the porcelain. They actually make different colored porcelain, so when the john is in the kiln being fired that it comes out white, yellow, purple, pink, etc.... You will probably be better off buying a toilet in the color you like, because that paint is going to start chipping the second you put the seat down. And if you paint the seat and lid yo ass gonna be the color of the toilet as the paint flakes off on your behind. Just my .02 cents.

It's a very cheaply made apartment toilet. It's not a quality one by any means. I just think everyone that see's it will be impressed and wish to use it

paint the inside of the bowl like an open mouth with teeth, a tongue and stuff like that. keep the lid closed so your friends don't see it when they walk in.
