    Painting lid and box... opinion's

So I am currently in the middle of painting my LS6 intake manifold. while I has doing this I had the idea to paint the lid and the box bellow it. has anyone done this and if so how does it look and do you just need the paint promoter, primer, paint, and clear?

P.S. i'm using gloss black as the color.

i believe that Y2kPewterSS (Preston) has done this. i would assume that you would prep the air lid and box the same same way you do the manifold. I have thought about doing this as well since i painted the top shell of my FAST 90 black...

i just painted my lid this week. It was really easy all i really have to do now is wet sand it and buff it to get rid of some of the orange peel. I don't think I'd like how the lower air box would look painted.

lol yeah its dirty as hell!! Winter does that and I don't really want to go through the trouble until it starts to get warm out. To get the SLP off I sanded the shit out of it. Its not just a decal its actually in the plastic so sanding is the only way.
