    Question Opinions on New Paint?

I have finally found an original OEM SS hood for the 'SoW'.

    As it sits now:

The car was wrecked from a rear ending so the black paint is perfect. Do you guys/gals think I should just paint of whole car red, leave the scoop black (like Big D's SS), etc?

Or should I go with something extreme/wild like I have done with all the mods on this car?

Post up and let me know what you think I should do.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

black scoop, burn the car bra and get clear headlghts, those black outs look weak.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

This was a picture from last friday the car is in road race prep as it was the day before my first road race of the season.

You have to run a bra for road racing as even if you are leading you get gravel (track prep still need more work) spun at your car when you are lapping the slower cars.

Headlight covers are for the rally aswell for the same reasons above.

Whole car red get rid of the blackouts, and take the bra off until you get to the track.

Unless you are going over gravel roads i would not see it as a issue...if you are i would use another car like a AWD vehicle.

I only have an open flat deck trailer so the truck spits gravel on the front of the car despite the ramps mounting at the front to block road debris.

I picked it up from a young guy who has wrecked 3 1996 SS cars. I have tried to buy the whole car from him each time he has wrote these cars off.

I bought a bunch of parts off the latest black car that had 16,000 miles on the car that was originally from Texas. I think I gave him $1000 for all the parts I wanted with the exception of the interior and motor which were both mint.

The covers are needed for road racing aswell if you guys have ever seen Trans Am series all the Camaros from my generation are blocked out for wind resistance aswell as not needing any lighting for daylight races.

    Thanks for the opinions guys.

After he wrecked three of them, how the hell does he get insurance on them anymore? He must pay four hundred per month..............Let's just say if he keeps a clean record for a few years his will finally go back down.......

Lets just say that myself and everyone from CZ8.com have now made him promise to never buy (and therefore) destroy another 4th Generation F-body every again.

I believe he now runs a mid nineties inline 6 Jeep Cherokee.

The F-body worlds rejoices as he certainly does not post on any of 'our' car sites anymore!!!!

Do the hood/scoupe like a 65-67 vette big block hood. You know the one I'm talkin bout right ?
