Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
My job uses a Solus scanner. Works great. Helped me diagnose my ABS/Traction control problem and my oil pressure switch failure with the GTO. My boss bought it used from Snap On. How much,
As for manuals, Haynes and Chilton get my vote.

for the manuals you can get a membership of some sort with haynes or chilton where you pay a monthly fee and can access all of their books online

We use the Solus by Snap-on. Also still have the older Modis. Both are decent tools. Alldata is a mainstay as Identifix. Like NoData, er Alldata but more for electrical issues. iATN is another good database for problematic repairs. Both iATN and Identifix have posted details about the corrective actions taken to fix issues. I use all three sources at my shop.
