One in a billion occurrence....or something else?
Does anybody else ever think that apple puts a killswitch in all their devices? After today, I sure do!
Last night(about 1 A.M.) I was messing around on my iPhone when it suddenly shut down and kept attempting to restarting but couldn't get past the Apple logo. The only thing I could do was to put it into restore mode and connect it to iTunes to restore it. I was pretty irritated, but whatever, it happens. I restore it and go to bed.
I have a class at 830 in the morning so my alarm was supposed to go off at 745. It didn't. My alarm clock is one of those iHomes which I keep my iPod mini connected to since the battery dies extremely fast now and is basically useless otherwise. Well, my alarm didn't go off this morning either. This would have been fine, had I not missed a test!!! Upon further investigation, my iPod mini had the "connect to iTunes to restore screen." I left cause I didn't have time to deal with that crap.
In my car I keep my iPod video to listen to over my stereo. I was driving today and my iPod started skipping and running extremely slow then froze. I pulled it out of the glovebox and restarted it. It wouldn't boot up and continued to restart until finally the "connect to iTunes to restore" screen popped up on it too.
My question is, is this a once in a billion occurnece that all 3 products have to be restored on the same day or does apple have some sort of killswitch in their products? I would believe a corrupt file caused this, but I haven't connected my mini to my computer in a good 6 months. The only "illegal" activity i've done is that my phone is jailbroken. Could apple have finally caught it and flipped the switch on all my apple products?

From the thread title, I thought maybe Rosie O'Donnell gave pleasure to a man one time in the history of the world.
I was wrong, and should have known better

Don't get too astronomical, the chances of your Apple products collectively failing is about 1 in 372,465... not the crazy numbers your post mentioned.
(Yes, 100% serious probability based on basic estimated life span of all three products paired with the length of ownership of each by OP).

She's dead. I've tried everything on the internet to format it and restore it. The hard drive is gone.....sad, sad day. I loved the video iPod!
