Exclamation Oliver Stone coming out with WTC flick in August

Starring Nick Cage. Looks like it will be intense... I hope it's half as good as United 93. The film focuses on two of the NY Port Authority cops who go into the towers to help rescue trapped people.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

agreed. Why don't they do a movie about it being a conspiracy? you'd think hollywood liberals would be all over that.

I just hope they do it with the respect and reverence that was shown with the United 93 film. I don't mind them doing an homage to the guys who risked (and lost) their lives that day. WE should not forget what happened on 9/11. And I will always have the utmost respect for all the cops and firemen who lost their lives going into those burning towers to save people.

Ditto. Gonna pull in millions off of a REAL tradgedy. Stone is a real piece of work. Sensationalize and hype the shit out of it. I'm sure there will be some kind of underlying political blame too. Ya, just what this country needs right now.

well like I said I have no problem with it as long as it's done with class and respect. I guess you guys have no faith it wll be done that way. Maybe we should wait and see before passing judgment.

If I was one of those guys who risked my life that day, I wouldn't mind if someone told my story. What's the harm in that?

Regardless of "how it is done" there are many suits in Hollywood who are going to pad their bank accounts because of this.

Yep, and that's the bottom line right there. You better count on HollyWood taking certain "liberties" with the story line too. BTW, is it me or do those pics(especially the 5th one down) of Cage make him look like a holocaust survivor? Put down the pipe Nick! Exhale!

I think everyone is fucking SICK of hearing about 9/11 as it is... .now some asshole has to make another movie about it.

I've been 9/11ed out since about oh, 9/12/01. Why can't the media, and everyone else, just shut the fuck up about it?

Kill the assholes responsible, and get on with life.

Me too. Now THAT is what "To Protect and Serve" means. I wish they could all be like that across the country.

So you mean if they showed some of your buddies who died in this crying/screwing up/ doing things they did not do so the movie sells more tickets you would not be upset?

I thought Flight93 did not do so well in theaters?

Flight 93 was a true story. They even consulted the actual guys who were involved in the flight tower and the military. They even brought in relatives, etc. to make sure they weren't going to offend anyone. As far as I know, they didn't.

And Flight 93 did very well at the box office considering the budget for the movie. I read where the producers of the movie were happy that it did as well as it did and still does. It was still in the top 12 as of Friday but this weekends totals aren't up until tonight.

Hey if they keep it true to the original story I'm all for it. But if they have to make stuff up to get more box office, then I'm with you, don't do it. I just hope Oliver Stone has the wherewithall to stick to the facts. We will soon see when the movie's released later this summer.
