    Old school rap...

..is basically the only kind i'll listen to. Post up some of your favorites please. There's a dj here that does a classic mix every Friday morning and used this one song's beat i've been trying to figure out for a while. Instead of a drum or synthesizer for the beat it uses like a tuba or trombone. Very catchy tune. Anyone know the song i'm talking about? Thanks.

I'm sure someone will chime in on this. But (@ least for me) it's hard to do as you ask since Rap music is mostly sampled from someone elses hard work, from years before. For me old school would be Dr. Dre and snoop dog's G-thang. Or Anthrax featuring Public Enemy on attack of the killer bees album, with maybe some LL Cool J thrown in there too..

I'm a 2pac fan myself. If your looking for old school, you can check out cats like Biz markie.... Or take it back to the fatboy and run dmc

If you guys wanna check out some real diffent type of shit, do a search for Esham. He's from Detroit and kinda of started the Detroit scene.
