Old movie with man eating plant... anyone?

I'm looking for an old movie, might have been black and white buy maybe 40-60's color? It was a bunch of people in a jungle, and at the center was some giant plant that a tribe would force people to jump in as sacrifices or the plants would kill everyone or something like that... sorry thats all i can remember but i think at the end one of the main charactors jumps in with explosives or poison and kills it.

yea wasnt trifids, tried journey to the center of the earth... now im downloading the land that time forgot but i dont think its those either. having trouble finding voodoo island but ill give that a shot after

There is an episode of original Star Trek like that. They feed people to the plant in the jungle and get immortality and happiness. Then there is an episode from land of the lost really similar to that. Other than that, beats me.

wasnt voodoo island... i was surpsised there was even a torrent for that hahaha...maybe it was one of those shows...i reaaaally doubt it was star trek but maybe land of the lost? thanks for the clues folks keep em comming
