3 1/2 more years til my kid graduates high school and then i'm outa here!!!!!!! Florida Keys was my plan but now i'm leaning more for the Carribean.

I don't see how you guys that live North of me do it. I even refuse to go snow skiing because I despise the cold.

And it's been high 60's low 70's here all week in the Valley of the Sun...

Yeah 'California cows are happy cows' was the slogan IIRC

Skin one. Their hide is thick. They can take it no problem. As long as you keep hay/feed on 'em they will be just fine. Biggest issue is water. You gotta have a heater in the water tank cuz they cannot drink ice.

Set a state record. The wind chills overnight hit -40 in some areas. This storm has been like nothing I would have ever imagined in Oklahoma. Hopefully, Oklahoma never has another like this in the next half century. It was still -17(temps, not wind chill) at 7AM this morning.

Craziness...I hope next week is a preview to a permanent warming trend to spring, but you just never know here. Good news is I can finally put a little weight on my leg without dying, might actually get to enjoy some of this warm weather.

It's the horses you should feel bad for. Around here most people put heavy blankets or coats on them when it gets this cold. Even in a closed barn it is cold for them.
